Principal's Message
Welcome to Plank Junior High School!
I am grateful to be in my first year as the principal of Plank Junior High, a school filled with so much pride and spirit. We strive to execute our mission every day, operating as an engaging community that nurtures and supports one another, motivating every student to reach their full potential. We provide meaningful opportunities for independence in academic, social, and emotional growth, preparing students to ultimately be college and career-ready.
Since beginning my time with SD 308 in 2020, I have worked as an assistant principal at Traughber Junior High School, interim principal at Fox Chase Elementary School, and, most recently, I served as an assistant principal and interim principal here at Plank. Before coming to this district, I was principal of both North Ranch Elementary School (Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix, Arizona) and Wells Elementary School (East Moline School District 37).
My favorite part of going to Plank each day is the energy and the people. There’s something powerful about walking into a building where people know your name, where you’re part of a team, and where every day brings something new. Whether it’s helping students problem-solve, watching them celebrate a win, or just hearing laughter in the hallways, those moments remind me of why I’m here.
At Plank, we lead with Pirate Pride. That means we show up for each other, grow together, and work toward something greater, together.
All in, All year!
